What’s been happening:

I married Texan Joe Bob Duncan in July of 1983. We have one son, Malcolm, who is now 15 years old. We spent 8 years in Dallas, Texas. I was a teacher and middle school counselor, and Joe was in commercial real estate. In 1991 we decided we wanted to work together and for ourselves. We bought from Joe's family our first historic hotel, The Hotel Limpia in Fort Davis, Texas. Since then we have purchased The Hotel Paisano in Marfa, Texas, home of the actors James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, and Rock Hudson during the filming of Giant. We have also purchased and renovated a 1930s motel, Stone Village Tourist Camp in Fort Davis as well as The Hotel El Capitan in Van Horn, Texas. All include restaurants and retail stores as well. We love what we do, love our staff and feel like we have one large family. Despite being very busy with hotels, we have time to enjoy life as a family with school activities, music lessons, Boy Scouts, church, traveling, and much more. We invite all of our Penn State friends to visit us in west Texas!
